Located within the historic Jafferji House in the heart of Stone Town, the museum offers visitors an immersive journey through the origins, production, and cultural significance of these iconic flavours. The website was designed to showcase this one-of-a-kind experience while inspiring travellers to explore the museum through engaging storytelling, interactive exhibits, guided tastings, and authentic cultural experiences.

Goals:

The objective of this project was to create an engaging and visually immersive website that positions the Zanzibar Chocolate, Coffee & Chai Museum as a must-visit cultural attraction in Stone Town. The platform needed to communicate the museum’s unique blend of history, agriculture, craftsmanship, and heritage while educating visitors about the bean-to-bar chocolate-making process, Zanzibar’s coffee traditions, and the island’s vibrant chai culture. It was also designed to encourage museum visits, promote locally crafted products, and showcase the social impact of supporting Tanzanian farmers and artisans through sustainable, traceable production.

The completed website delivers a rich and immersive digital experience that captures the essence of Zanzibar’s cultural heritage through compelling storytelling, elegant design, and intuitive navigation.
